It is a 1992 reprint edition of the 1928 Putnam classic of the similar title. An auto-biography, as ghost-written auto-biographies go, of the greatest celebrity of his era, and most likely probably the most famous persona of the Twentieth Century altogether, Babe Ruth. The original volume portrayed itself as a sort of instructional guide, advice from the great Sultan of Swat, mostly aimed at a younger readership, and framed in a very nurturing style, as to how a young lad might succeed not only in baseball, but also in Life… though leaving out certain information about beer guzzling, woman-chasing, or massive consumption of hot dogs. This trade paperback, published by Bison Books and the University of Nebraska in 1992, is a very faithful reproduction of the original, right down to the original fonts and the “31 illustrations.” 301 pages in a 5.5 x 8.0 format. Originals of this title are actually extremely scarce and also expensive. This particular copy is in Fine condition, unread and virtually untouched. Some light handling shows at the covers, and there are couple tiny smudges at the bottom fringe. I use USPS Media Mail for all book shipments, and all the time ship within three days of a confirmed payment. Combined shipping, at a discounted rate, will likely be provided for all more than one book orders. Sorry, I accept PayPal only. Please see my other baseball book listings as they appear on eBay.
